I don’t know about you, but my pets are my life. They are like children to me. And yes – they run the house! My feeling is that my pets, and the pets of friends, understand everything that we tell them. Not the vocal nuance – but the exact words. They are also very good at letting me know what they are thinking – way beyond “pet me”, “feed me” and “let me out”.
An area that I have had to learn to master is finding out whatever it is that they are trying to hide from me. I have cats, and my oldest cat is very good at hiding whatever is wrong with him. This has in the past led to his developing infections from bites and scratches that his mother (me) never knew he had! My cat and I have come to terms with this – he now understands that he will be taken to the vet whenever his mother thinks that he needs it, and that he gets sicker if he hides things.
As an intuitive reader, I help my clients get a clearer view of their life, and the options that they have. This is generally more difficult for most people with their pets. Pets are affected by life situations, just as we are. When a child leaves home to go to school, when a family member goes on a trip, or has to be hospitalized, their pets are affected. Their lives have changed, and they may need help coping with that.
There is an area of psychic reading that is becoming much more accepted, and that I personally feel holds great importance – the area of psychic pet reading. The client is the pet, and the psychic connects directly with the pet. How do I know this works? Because I can do it with my pets (and occasionally with other peoples pets). And because a good friend of my sister’s and mine read my sister’s German Shepherd several times over the year or two prior to her passing. This was a great comfort to my sister, as she wanted to know what she could do – if anything – to make her pet feel better.
One of my fellow readers has a very good blog on pet psychics here – Pet Psychic, There are several pet psychic sites on the Internet, including www.calmpet.com (cyber home of Hillary Renaissance), www.petperceptions.com (cyber home of Lisa Greene), and www.telepathictalk.com (cyber home of pet and human psychic Suzan Vaughn).
What can a pet psychic do for you? Ease your mind about your pet, for one thing! They can also help find missing pets, help with behavior problems (by finding out how the pet feels about something), and to create a calm, loving relationship between owner and pet. They can help you to better understand the environment that a pet came from (especially helpful with rescue animals!), and to understand how your pet views their current environment.
Pet psychics work with animals who are living, as well as those that have crossed over. It is often important to connect with a pet who has crossed over so that the owner knows that they are doing well, and can have closure. If you make the decision to work with a pet psychic, check them out first (as you would for a personal psychic for yourself). See what their background is, and what services they offer. Not all pet psychics do missing pet work, and not all pet psychics will work with pets that have crossed over.
Make your goal that of creating the best possible environment for yourself and your pet. Be open to understanding where your pet is coming from with their thoughts, feelings and actions, and be willing to work out a compromise. Show your pets that you love them, and allow them to love you in whatever way they can. To get them to respect you – respect them first.
