Energy For The New Year

This morning I drew three cars for the energy of the coming year. The deck used was Lisa Hunt’s “Fantastical Creatures Tarot”. I read this as energy that is available to each of us.

What beneficial energy is coming to me in the New Year? Five of Wands

Nice, airy energy to benefit us in the New Year!  This is a card of communications (Wands in this deck is associated with air) – on the surface, somewhat chaotic communications, of opposition coming when we least expect it, from whom we least expect it. The benefit to this energy is that we learn to stay in the present, to note who is around us and what is going on around us, and to be able to see through to the truth.

What energy challenges me in the New Year? King of Wands

We are being challenged to make and implement our ideas/decisions. We need to learn to ask advice from people i the know, and to make best use of wisdom that comes to us unexpectedly.

What inner strength can I depend on for the New Year? Six of Cups

The best face that we can show is that of friendship. We need to acknowledge others, and extend the hand of friendship so that they will do the same for us. Memories from the past, as well as people from the past, sustain us at this time.

Staying In The Present

How do we achieve our dreams? We pay attention, we stay in the present, we connect with spirit, and we pay attention to our path. Make it a practice each day to give thanks for the abundance in your life. No matter how little you may have in a material way – there is abundance in some form.

Be open to listening to the messages that are coming to you – in whatever way they come to you. They may come in dreams, in images that you see repeatedly in your waking hours, they may come in an “Aha!” moment, they may come in the form of a comment from a stranger. Honor your messages.

Understand what skills and abilities you came into this word with. What are the common denominators in your successes? This is where your skills and abilities lie. Use those skills to accomplish your goals – do not hide your light!

Trust in your path. Follow your passion, and set your goals to follow your passion, and your path.  A goal that does not follow your path is not worth achieving.

Be open to the opportunities offered to use your skills and abilities in a constructive manner.

If you would like a reading from me to help clarify your path, or your goals, I can be reached at  866-365-0858 Wednesday late night/early morning.

Scorpio New Moon

On 11/16/09 we experience the Scorpio New Moon. As with all New Moon’s, the Scorpio New Moon is all about fresh starts and new beginnings. This one, however, does carry Scorpio’s  notorious sting! We are going to be required to face our shadows, and move beyond them.

This is a time of emotional healing – healing of emotional wounds that have been with us for many lifetimes.  Scorpio gives us the vision to see our shadows, as well as the willingness to work on what we see. Our shadow wounds can easily be lanced during this time – then cleaned up and seen with a very clear vision.

Be willing to be honest with yourself – and with others. If you are not, thr truth will eventually come back to bite you. Healing is never easy, especially on the emotional level. Know that once you are able to see your issues, and resolve them, that you will move forward at a very brisk pace.

What are you avoiding? What do you need to clean up in your life? Is it worth the pain to keep it hidden? Look at it, heal it, love yourself, and move forward!

Readings By Lilith

So, who is Lilith, and what are her readings like? Lilith is writing this blog with the music of the Commodores cranked up in the background – that should tell you something! I like smiles, I want people to enjoy themselves, and I want my readings to add something to my clients lives. I want them to go away feeling better about themselves than when we first started talking.

When possible, I like my clients to write out a short list of questions – or at the least have a fairly clear idea of what they want to discuss. There are times when tings are so chaotic this is not possible – in those cases I will help my clients sort through the drama to see what the best questions might be.

At the end of a reading with me, my goal is that my clients see their situation/issue from a fuller perspective, that more than one option has been defined as to actions that can be taken, and that they feel empowered.

I generally work Wednesday nights, from 1 am EST to 6 am EST. I can be reached at 866-365-0858. I look forward to hearing from you!

“Tails” of the Afterlife

I am continually amazed at the synchronicity of life! Recently Peggy Schmidt’s “Tails” of the Afterlife – True Stories of Ghost Pets crossed my path. Aside from being a master storyteller (she would really have to be – her “9-5” is hosting tours of ghost sites!), Schmidt addresses subjects that we all experience, but really do not tend to talk about.

She talks about “heart” animals – that one animal that we have as a pet that stands out amongst all of our other pets, the one that will always “have our heart”. She also talks about animals that return from the afterlife to help us through a crisis, or even just to let us know that they are happy and well.

She goes on to discuss whether our pets can actually see spirits, and whether they can tell the “good” from the “bad”. I have to put my two cents in here and say that yes – our pets can see the spirits that are around them. I have four cats – only my female has this ability. She is always looking up at the ceiling – in specific places, not just at any shadows or bugs that she might see up there.

I will go further and say that our pets do protect us from bad spirits. I went through a time at one point when I was having troublesome dreams – which is very unusual for me. One night I woke up, sensing a negative presence in the house. I walked down the hall into the living room, and there was a big dog sitting there, and I knew it was there to protect me. I have a strong feeling that this was the ghost of a dog that my family had when I was a toddler – a dog who made it his life mission to protect me – even from my mother, when she wanted to correct my behavior!

Through her stories, Schmidt related the various ways that our pets who have departed come back to let us know they are there. I think the most fascinating one was a rescue dog that became very attached to the van that his owner drove. After the pet passed away, the van was sold. About a year after the sale the current and previous owners reconnected. The new owner reported hearing dog tags clinking, when there was no dog in the car. She looked in the rear view mirror, and the previous owner’s dog was turning in circles, and then laid down – just as he always had!

Schmidt also tells the story of a heart dog that reappears any time another pet is ready to cross over. And there is the story of the dog that continues to guard his owner’s property – long after he has crossed over.

There is also some wonderful material in this book on animal communicators – and how we can all learn to communicate with our animals, if we approach them with an open mind. One animal communicator found out why a woman’s horse refused to lead left – the horse told the communicator that the woman had a problem with her left hip. The woman herself was not aware of this until a year later – but the horse knew!

Just as we know that people have psychic powers, we need to understand that animals do too. They also have the ability to choose whether they are going to reincarnate or not, and they have work to do, just as we do, when they leave their physical life.

Lots to think about, lots to work with here!

Developng Your Psychic Intuition

Developing your intuition is a matter, really, of developing your psychic abilities, of developing the five basic senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch), and the sixth sense of “knowing”. Anyone can do this – literally anyone who wants to can develop their intuition/psychic ability. No magic is involved here – it is simply a matter of practice.

Learn to trust yourself, and trust your intuition. Start keeping a notebook or journal of some kind where you can jot down your intuitive thoughts. Write down your reaction to the thought, and whether you acted on it or not. You can then go back at a later date and see whether your intuitive thought came to pass, and whether the action that you chose to take was appropriate, based on that thought. Also note where you chose to not take action, and whether there would have been a difference had you done so. Our intuition is a gift, and we make it stronger by paying attention to it, and using it.

As children we were more than likely taught that intuitive thoughts were “daydreams”, and not things to be acted on. More than that, we learned to not mention our intuitive thoughts, as we were, directly or indirectly, being asked not to.

Pay attention to how your intuitive messages are coming to you, and learn to allow them to come through. They could be visions in waking hours, or dreams during dreamtime. They could be a scent that brings out a memory of some type, or a sound that you hear when no one else is in the room. It could be curtains fluttering when there is no breeze, or movement out of the corner of your eye which, when you turn to look, shows nothing there.

If you are strongly drawn to something, or someone, or, conversely, repelled by someone, or something, pay attention to this. If you are drawn to something, or someone, allow yourself to experience that association. If you are repelled by something, or someone, even when there is no reason, honor that thought and distance yourself from them.

Meditating every day will help you to relax your mind so that you can accept your intuitive experiences. Writing them down allows you to become a third party – to read what has happened, and where it led you. We all have intuitive/psychic abilities, and we can all develop these abilities if we wish to.

Psychic Power – Inherent Abilities

Psychic power is mystical and magickal – and it is something that we are all gifted with. Each of us has one or more psychic abilities – or psychic “powers”, as it were. Remember the unseen friend that you had as a young child? My mother tells me that I would throw a fit if she sat in the chair that my invisible friend was sitting in – so she had to choose another chair to keep me quiet! I was one of the lucky ones.

More often than not when a young child starts to share the mystical/magickal things that are going on in their life, their parents hem and haw, and then gently (or not so gently!) suggest that they not talk about that any more. The child, not wanting to be on their parent’s bad side, stops talking about what they are experiencing, and, in effect, blocks off/shuts off the ability (or abilities) that are inherent to them.

It is not unusual for these abilities to surface again when the child reaches adulthood. At this time they can decide for themselves whether they want to develop their abilities, and how they want to develop them. Basic psychic abilities, or psychic “powers” are:

Clairaudience: The ability to hear what no one else hears. The ability to hear voices when no one else is in the room. The sound is heard not through the ears, but in the mind. This is considered to be a form of extra sensory perception (ESP).

Clairsentience: The ability to receive physical sensations that contribute to the creation of an overall psychic impression of a person, place or thing. This is what an empathy experiences – they feel the thoughts and emotions of those around them.

Clairvoyance: The ability to sense or see images clearly. This psychic ability moves through the barriers of time and space, and can make a connection with those who have departed. This is the ability to see into the future.

Claircognizance:  The ability to “know without knowing”. You know something, you know it in your gut, but you don’t know how or why you know it. Premonitions fall into this category, as well as memories from a past that you would have no way of knowing anything about.

If you are not aware of where your psychic strength is, there is a wonderful quiz on psychic ability at Psychic Power Quiz.

There are many sites on the Internet that contain information on psychic abilities, and how to develop them. It is not hard to do, as all they are is developing enhanced abilities in out ordinary senses (sight, sound, taste, and touch). A good place to start is here: PsychicPower.com.

Remember – when we recognize and develop or inherent abilities, we experience a life that flows freely, filled with joy and abundance!

Welcome To Lilith’s World!

Welcome to my blog! This is going to be a place for me to discuss things that I am interested in, from personal empowerment to all aspects of healing, my work with the Tarot, and anything else that crosses my path.

I hold the belief that we each hold within us that little spark of the Divine that connects us to each other, and to all of life. I feel that we need to honor all that life is, all that it can be, and all that we can be. We need to search out ways to inform ourselves, so that our choices move us forward in an authentic manner.

Life is rapidly changing around us – largely due to the fact that we have not been leading authentic lives. We have set aside our true selves to become what others wished us to be. We not only wanted to keep up with the Joneses, we wanted to BE the Joneses. It is time for us to hold ourselves accountable as we hold the big organizations that have failed us.

Throughout my life I have worked to connect with people and ideas that would help me to make informed decisions. There are many tools out there that are free to use, and that help us to align our mental/emotional/physical/spiritual selves so that we function as a whole. I would like to share these tools with each of you, so that you can put them to use in your life.

I have read the Tarot professionally for many years now. In each of my readings I try to use whatever complimentary tools my client needs, whether this be prayer, affirmations, Reiki, numerology, astrology, working with crystals, feng shui, color therapy, the law of attraction, developing their psychic abilities or whatever else comes to mind.

When I do a Tarot reading, it is usually over the phone (but can also be by e-mail). There is a psychic connection that is formed with the client that allows me, with the help of my Higher Self and their Higher Self, to be able to interpret the cards in a manner that brings through the information that my clients need to gain insight into their issues.

Psychic readings can cover any issue that the client wishes to cover – with the exception of health, financial or legal issues, which are best left to the professionals in those respective fields. All the client needs to do is form a clear question in their mind regarding any issue that they wish to address. It should be a single question, such as “Is it to my benefit to stay with my current employer?” rather than a question that addresses two separate topics, such as “Is it to my benefit to stay with my current employer, and, if so, should I stay in the same section or apply for an internal transfer?”

I will be talking more about psychic connections, psychic ability, psychic reading, Tarot readings and more in future blogs. My psychic reader’s profile can be seen here – Lilith ext 2999 at PsychicPower.com
